What Saily is

Saily is an eSIM service from Nord Security, the company behind NordVPN, NordPass and NordLayer. Sources differ on its exact start date, with 2023 and 2024 both quoted, so this page does not give a launch year. It resells data from partner mobile networks, so Slovak coverage depends on the network named on the plan.

For a general explanation of how travel eSIMs work in Slovakia see eSIM for Slovakia.

How buying and setup work

  1. Check that your phone supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked.
  2. Choose a Slovakia or Europe plan and pay.
  3. Install the eSIM on Wi-Fi before you travel, using the app or QR code.
  4. On arrival, turn on the eSIM line and allow data roaming for it.

Saily manages plans in its own app. Most plans are data only, so calls and texts still come from your home SIM or from apps. If you need a local number, see Slovak prepaid SIM cards.

Pricing, validity and refunds

Saily sells data bundles of fixed size and validity, and it also lists unlimited plans with a fair-use limit. Reports put Europe unlimited allowances at a set number of fast GB per day, then slower speeds, but the numbers change, so read the live plan terms.

On refunds, Saily's support page says that if the eSIM has not been installed and the plan not activated, you can request a full refund within 30 days. Once installed and activated it counts as used, though a partial or full refund may be considered if the data is almost entirely unused or there was a quality problem on Saily's side. Check the current wording before buying.

What users commonly say

At the time of writing, comparison sites generally praise the clean app and quick setup. Reported downsides include fewer plan types than bigger marketplaces, and data speeds that vary by country and network. Look at the current Trustpilot page for a fresh rating and recent comments before deciding.

Who Saily suits for Slovakia

Saily suits a weekend in Bratislava or a one- to two-week trip, especially if you want a simple purchase. If you plan several border crossings, compare Europe plans in best eSIM for Europe and the Airalo vs Saily guide. EU residents with a roaming-inclusive home plan may not need an eSIM, so check that first. For more on connectivity see internet and Wi-Fi in Slovakia.
