How we research our guides
Each Taply guide answers one specific travel question, for example how to get from Vienna Airport to Bratislava, or which eSIM works for Slovakia.
Sources
We check facts against official sources wherever possible: transport operators (ZSSK, ÖBB, Bratislava public transport), national park and mountain rescue information (TANAP, HZS), cave and castle operators, the Slovak motorway vignette site and EU passenger rights pages. Where a detail changes often, such as prices or timetables, we give a cautious range and tell you to check the current figure.
How the rankings work
We rank options by how well they fit the question on that page: convenience, cost, reliability and who they suit. Paid services and free public options are ranked together. Where we have an affiliate partner that fits, we link to it, and we say so on every page.
How the guides are written
Guides are researched and drafted with the help of AI tools, then checked against the sources above and edited for accuracy. We do not invent prices, reviews or personal experiences. If you spot something out of date, it helps every reader when we fix it.
Updates
Each guide shows the date it was last updated. We review transport, price and seasonal information regularly, especially before the summer and ski seasons.
